Good ideas. I especially like the exponential time increase between password tries, sounds easy to implement and it would probably solve most problems.

Off topic here but relax man. Life is too short to get worked up over something meaningless like this.
This I have recently learned myself through certain personal events. Do not always take a defensive stance, do not go in the offensive, not everybody is out the hurt you or prove you wrong,
learn to let things slide. I am not telling you what to do here but your life and the lifes of the people surrounding you would be much more pleasant. Greetings BaRa
